Major-Specific Events & Explore Days

Attending a Major-Specific Event or Explore Day allows students and their families to connect with our faculty members and learn more about our unique programs. You will have a chance to learn more about the admissions process, hear from a faculty member in your academic area of interest, connect with our current students, and take a campus tour.

  • COVID Regulations

To best protect the health and well-being of our community, and to minimize the impact on those who may contract COVID-19 in the future, we have made the decision to require all visitors who are eligible to have received their COVID-19 vaccine booster dose. Please review the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines on determining your eligibility for receiving a booster dose here.

All visitors who have not received their booster dose or have not been vaccinated, are partially vaccinated, or received their final vaccine fewer than two weeks from the visit date will be required to show proof of a negative COVID-19 PCR or viral antigen test taken within 72 hours prior to arrival on campus. We will not be accepting at home rapid tests. If you cannot find a testing appointment within 72 hours of your scheduled visit, we will be providing BinaxNOW rapid testing upon arrival to campus.

You must bring either your physical vaccination card or a photo of your card with a picture I.D. to serve as proof of vaccination. We also require face coverings while on campus for all visitors regardless of vaccination status.

Please note that although mandates and requirements are not currently in place in Connecticut, Connecticut residents and travelers to Connecticut should follow travel-related guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Connecticut Department of Public Health (CT DPH). More information about Travel Advisory requirements for Connecticut can be found here.

For the protection and well-being of all members of the University community, we ask that anyone experiencing COVID-like symptoms or who has had a positive COVID-19 test in the 10 days prior to their planned arrival do not take part in this on-campus visit opportunity. Please view our many virtual visit opportunities.
